I moved out of my folks’ home after college (moved to a new city and everything) and then ended up moving back in a year later, just for the summer, so I could help launch a children’s theater camp in my hometown. (After that, I moved out again and went to grad school.)

I did not pay rent during those three months, and I didn’t pay rent a few years later when I moved to Washington DC and crashed at my sister’s apartment for six weeks until I could find an apartment of my own. (I did help with food.)

So… that’s my story.
