Moving cities and changing jobs to be with someone creates a significant relationship unbalance. It’s not in itself a bad thing, but in some cases it represents a woman putting in significantly more work to support a relationship while simultaneously pulling back on her career. (I don’t think that’s what’s going on in this case.)

More interestingly: I know a handful of Billfolders have moved to be with significant others, including myself. How many of us are female?
