There’s this whole school of dating thought that Saturday is more “valuable” than Tuesday (because people might have more time to spend with each other since they don’t have to work in the morning, and because Saturdays generally have more interesting social opportunity cost activities that you’ll have to skip in lieu of dating) and so she was asking for a “more expensive” night, as it were.
